Advent Day 12

Today’s scripture from the apostle Paul provides a point of clear reality and promise.  Spiritual blessing is offered through Christ alone.  

Most among us seek internal peace and this peace is sought through a number of ways other than Christ.  For example, some consume themselves with family, some work themselves to exhaustion, some try and medicate spiritual emptiness chemically, etc. etc. etc.  The apostle Paul makes clear the promise that spiritual blessing can be had but only in one way, through Christ Jesus.  

Today, in prayer, ask God to forgive you for ways in which you have sought fulfillment in ways other than Jesus.  Ask Him to aid you in seeing to greater degrees how good and sure the promises of God are through Christ.             

“Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens in Christ.”
