Advent Day 13

As Christmas 2021 is approaching I want you to consider this promise from the apostle Paul.  God promises in His Word comfort in our trials.  Today make a list of things that bother you.  Perhaps you struggle with a situation with another or perhaps you are in need of resources, or perhaps a current or potential physical struggle is concerning you?  As you pray today read back to God His promise.  Thank Him for His promise to comfort in our affliction and in doing so ask Him to aid us in being obedient to share His comfort in affliction to another.  Thank Him for not leaving us to our trials alone.  Thank Him for a humble Bethlehem manger and His work through the ages through others who were faithful to Him.

“3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. 4 He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

2 Corinthians 1:3-4
