Advent Day 21

Today we look at our last promise of this advent season from Christ Himself.  In this promise Jesus reveals that He will return for us.

As the closeness of the holiday is upon us many of our schedules are filling up.  There are numerous things seeking our attention and if we are not careful, we can miss out on so much hope before us.  Today let us pause and reflect on the reality that one day this life will end and then one day Jesus will return to raise those who have fallen asleep in Him. (1 Thessalonians 4). Let us be thankful for the ones who God allows us to spend time with this holiday season.  Let us be intentional about reflecting, encouraging, and potential leading others whom we love in the gospel.

In prayer today would you take time to thank God for His promise of return. His promise that at the end of days He has promised to return for those whom trust in Him.

“2 In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 3 If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, so that where I am you may be also.”

John 14:2-3
