Advent Day 17

Our time in God’s Word today again reveals to us a promise from Jesus Himself.  Jesus reveals that one reason He has come is so that life can be had in abundance for those that follow Him. 

Today do you feel you have life in abundance.  If not, would you take some time to consider this promise in prayer with our Lord?  In the areas you do feel full thank Him for His grace, provision, and faithfulness.  In the areas where you don’t feel abundant be honest with God and ask Him to reveal to you more of Himself in these areas of non-abundance.  Remember, God has promised life in abundance in Christ Jesus.  In Christ we have left mundane and boring life behind.    

Today I challenge you to ask Him to remove the areas of thievery stealing from you the abundance that God’s work through the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus promises to provide.        

“A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.”
