Easter Sunday is something I always look forward to. It is great to gather with others in remembrance and celebration of Christ atoning gift provided for us, His life, death, and resurrection. Easter is the basis for our hope because if Easter did not occur or is not true then all other hopes of the gospel simply are non existent. In my sermon yesterday I felt led to consider the facts, realities, and areas of needed faith in regards to Easter. We considered what Easter means in 2022. It was great to see the church full yesterday and I hope that trend continues in the days to come.

This week there are some prayer concerns that need our direct attention. I encourage you to consider these needs and make it a priority to pray for these needs.

Mary Gomero - Mary worked closesly as a translator with a team from our association of churchs who minstered to the Guatemalan people a few years ago. (My wife Laura and Ruthie Fadnek were among those on this particular trip). Mary, who is native of the south eastern U.S. has since made Gutemala her home and is married to a Guatemalan Doctor Oskr and they have a 4 year old daughter named Solena. Mary suffered a brain aneurysm Saturday while pregnant with her and Oskr’s second daughter. The baby was born via cesarean at 6 months and is around 2 lbs in weight. Mary had emergency surgery in Guatemala city yesterday and is currently in a coma. Oskr is asking if others would gather and pray together at 5 p.m. each day. If you would pray for Mary, Oskr, Solena, and the baby. Pray for healing for Mary, Peace for Oskr, comfort for Solena, and health for their tiny baby.
