2.20.22 Blog

It hard to believe but we are in the last full week of February.  I hope as this month is coming to a conclusion things are well for you.  Our weekly gathering was good yesterday despite not being what had been planned.  For almost 2 years Aaron and I have been having the conversation of what would be the plan when one of us contracted Covid before a service.  This occurred on Saturday of this past week with Aaron testing positive.  I am thankful to report to this point Aaron and Hannah seem to have a mild case of the virus.  I know they would appreciate your thoughts, support, and prayers.

I bring up the point that our gathering as a body yesterday was good despite not being what had been planned for a reason.  I am thankful for Sherry being able and willing to step in and lead our worship in the absence of Aaron.  Preservice yesterday Sherry and I were discussing the reality of the constant changing course of our personal plans within God’s greater plan.  Be encouraged as you read this that God is not bound to the limits you and I are.  He knows what is going to happen this week and beyond and I believe as our text in Zephaniah revealed yesterday that if we will repent of sin and then trust in His provision and plan for our lives in Christ Jesus then we will have exactly what we need when we need it.  Our service yesterday was a clear example of this.  If you were not able to be with us I would encourage you to take a look.  There is even a little something special we were able to do during our first song!

This week in prayer I again have numerous names for us to consider.  As always I encourage everyone to set aside specific time to corporately petition these names before the Lord.  Our list this week is as follows….

Multiple decisions many within the church are making

Tina Moore, Daniel Moore’s mom who is continuing to rehabilitate after trachea surgery

Allene Jones - Continue recovery combined with future cancer treatments after Covid

Allie - Niece of Glenda Scarbrough who is battling daily physical pain

Pastor Corey
