Advent Day 25

Today is Christmas!  I hope time spent over the past twenty-four days has been encouraging to you and I pray your joy in Christ Jesus has grown.  This past year has challenged life’s joy but as we have clearly seen life’s joy is not defeated.  Under humble, odd, and challenging circumstance God infused His work into the hopelessness of humanity.  Born in a manger was a King.  Jesus’ birth collided flesh and Spirit bringing the promise of God’s peace a reality.  Today as you consider the apostle Paul’s closing words to the church in Rome, I encourage you to fully receive God’s peace offered to you this season.  In prayer thank God for the gift of Christ and ask Him how your life can be a joyfully unique reflection of His great gift!  Remember, all of God’s promises find their “yes” in Him.
