Vacation Bible School is an outreach that is arguably the churches most intentional evangelical outreach on the annual church calendar. Middle Creek has had a rich tradition of VBS for several decades and our passionate desire is to see this continue. It is our VBS team’s hope and prayer that through changing the meeting structure of VBS that more discipleship opportunities might be available for the current generation of young students. In years past MCBC was known for its 2 week Bible School. Two weeks of weekday 9a-12p meetings allowed students 10 individual days of engagement. Our team considered this reality combined with its gospel effects and wanted to implement something similar in the modern context. Given the complexities of most families current schedules a 2 week day time VBS was simply not realistic. Therefore this year we are going to try something different through implementing a Sunday all day VBS that then will continue on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer. This will provide a potential of 9 points of individual contact that our team hopes the Lord will use for a Kingdom impact.
